Erace Poverty

Our mission is to help end extreme global poverty, but when faced with the breadth of this problem, the process of creating substantial change seems daunting. This is why we are dedicated to finding organizations that are already making an impact and then give them our support.

We at ERACE POVERTY feel that before we can make the promise to connect our donors and team members with these organizations, we first must determine what embodies the most reliable organizations and then find them. The best way to support, or change, our current understanding of poverty, its root causes and the best organizations helping to alleviate it, is to experience first hand who poverty is affecting and why, and how to most effectively lift them from it.

 

On September 26th, 2008, ERACE POVERTY's co-founder and Director, Jeff Bates, embarked on a journey around the world to volunteer with three poverty relief organizations. His reason? Reading statistics and stories on poverty all day will only get you so far in an attempt to understand what poverty is.
